As someone with thick, curly hair I like to load my hair up on oils andmoisturising products to keep the fizz at bay and my locks maintained. This is all great, but sometimes, after all those oily, silicone-y products, my hair needs a really good deep clean.

It has been years since a matte foundation has touched my skin. Back in my college days the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation ruled the roost and we were all wearing it. That thick, high coverage, cakey foundation looked just like skin coloured chalk, but back in 2009 that’s what was popular. In the pursuit of flawless skin, me and my friends continually applied a mask of foundation day after day.
